This hearty stew is made from layers of cabbage and meat, typically pork and sometimes beef or lamb, slow-cooked in a clay pot for several hours. The long cooking time allows the flavors to meld together, resulting in a comforting and delicious meal that is a staple in Serbian celebrations.
